Situated among the rolling hills of rural Gascony, Perruchet is a recently renovated farmhouse.

Its location affords it panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and is within easy reach of local villages where you can enjoy the many local festivals, restaurants and day and night markets.

This area of S.W. France is renowned for its culinary specialities, wines and, of course, Armagnac.

We have a large heated salt water swimming pool with sunbeds and parasols where you can relax and admire the lovely views. Our games area provides table tennis and darts plus a comfortable sitting area where you can play cards or board games or just relax with a drink and maybe a good book. Badminton and petanque (boules) are also available. Varying types and sizes of bicycles are freely available for your use.

The property stands on 3 acres of parkland and orchard which you are free to roam and enjoy the company of our assortment of animals and birds.

The owners live discreetly on site and are happy to help you in any way possible.

Gascony is an area of France steeped in history with its many walled villages and towns, castles, chateaux and ancient churches. The rolling countryside abounds with rivers, lakes, vineyards, sunflowers, fruit and vegetables.

This is the ideal area for those wanting to discover the real France, having the lowest population density in the country and where the people are warm and friendly. The countryside is ideal for walking and cycling. Birds of prey are a common sight and wild deer and boar can often be seen roaming the countryside.

The average temperature during the summer is around 30°C between the months of June and September. Spring and Autumn time in the Gers are ideal for all those looking for a relaxing walking, cycling or golfing break. The temperature averages a comfortable 15°C during these months.

We are located close to the villages of Aignan and Lupiac (the birth place of the musketeer D'artagnan) both villages having lakes with beaches and bar/restaurants. The lakeside bar at Lupiac has a calendar of events during the summer months and can be a lively place in the evenings.

The lake at Aignan has the Parc Acrobatique Forestier open during the summer months, a series of rope walks and climbs through the trees - for the more adventurous The local markets are a hive of activity and many towns also hold a night market twice monthly where you can eat and drink alfresco with the local people. The multitude of restaurants offer the local Gascon specialities and are excellent value for money.

The international music festivals held during July and August are within easy reach of Perruchet, Marciac for the international jazz festival where a host of well known celebrities perform, as well as a free arena in the town square. Vic Fezensac for tempo latino, where you can salsa in the streets until the early hours.

The town of Condom also hosts the local bandas festival during May. All these festivals host their own website for further information. The area is well known for it's wines and there are a number of vineyards in the area, many offering tours and tastings. Many villages in the area have their own arena for 'course landaise' - a bovine spectacular where brave young men leap the bulls rather than killing them. The majestic Pyrenees are but one and a half hours drive, as is France's west coast.
